Privacy policy
How this Chaplaincy handles the details you give us.
Last revised September 2026
What we collect
We collect only what you give us: your name and a way of reaching you when you write through this website, make a pledge, or join one of our organisations. We do not track you across other websites and we do not sell or share your details.
Why we keep it
To reply to you, to keep the parish register, to send you a reminder about a pledge you have made, and to keep an honest record of the Chaplaincy’s work. Nothing else.
Reminders about pledges
We send a reminder only if you agreed to it when you made the pledge, and never more than once a week. Ask us to stop at any time and we will, without needing a reason.
Photographs
Photographs taken at Chaplaincy events may appear on this website. If you would rather not appear, tell the parish office and we will remove the picture. Photographs of children are published only where the parish is satisfied that consent has been given.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the parish office and we will act within a reasonable time.
Keeping it safe
Details are held on a secure server and seen only by those who need them for the work of the Chaplaincy. Anyone with access signs in with their own account.
Questions about this policy, or a request about your own details, should go to the parish office at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Chaplaincy/Charity Centre, Abakaliki. You may also write through the contact page.
